Chapter 1: Human food is good!

Callie and Smoke started walking down the sidewalks. A human was carrying dinner home and two pieces of soft, squishy, warm, yummy bread dropped. "Yummy!" Smoke and Callie said. Of course, they were meowing because they were around humans. They both got a chunk. They chewed it like it was their favorite food. A Jackel breed dog and a Maine Coon cat were with a human. "Dog!" Mewed Smoke. The two cats hid behind trash cans. The pets seemed to stare at them, and they smiled at the two strays. The cat ran for a mouse. "Cassie, stay with me." Said the human. "Okay!" Meowed Cassie. Of course, since they were cats, Callie and Smoke could understand. Then they saw a building called "Sable's Cafe". The strays walked in to the good smells. There was yummy food for cats and humans. Fish, sushi, and shrimp. There was a lot more that the cats didn't understand! Like "Soup" and "Cake" and all that other stuff. But to the pictures, they looked good. A human kid dropped their shrimp, and the cats snuck over and shared it.



Author's Note: Is this a bit short? Well, I was actually planning them to go to a human place. First I thought a school, but that won't work.

Writer's Block

As you may have noticed, I have not been posting on my Pack of the Sound story blog and this one as well. So you might want to give me ideas.

Prolouge: Staring at owned cats.

A calico was looking in the window with a black cat. "Those cats are so lucky. They get all the royal treatment." Said the calico. "I agree, Callie." Said the black cat. "I know. We have to catch mice, birds, fish, and more all by ourselves. They get yummy-looking cat food brought to them, Smoke." Said Callie. Suddenly, Smoke whispered a plan in Callie's ear. "Yeah! Sounds like a good plan for surviving!" Said Callie. "Wait, wait. Look at this royal treatment." Said Smoke. They looked in the window and there was a kitty playing with a toy. "That sounds fun. All we get to play with are fish, birds, and mice. And they get TOYS. And look MORE royal treatment." Said Callie. "Ugh. Getting brought clean, fresh water that's been cleaned. All we get is water straight from a body of water, with litter and fish poop in it." Said Smokey. The two cats walked  down the city sidewalk, going to a forest.
